Duygu Çakır
Founder & Lead Designer
Duygu is an award-winning lighting designer with over 15 years of international experience working at the intersection of architecture, lighting, and technology. Recognised among the 40 Under 40 by Lighting Magazine UK (2020), she founded SLD Studio in 2010. With a background in engineering, an MSc in Lighting Design from Politecnico di Milano, and formative experience collaborating with Studio Piero Castiglioni in Milan, she aims to bring the studio’s strong design concepts to life through technical precision.

Gürden Gür
Partner & Lead Designer
Gürden is an architect and senior lighting designer with over 20 years of experience working across architecture and lighting design. Known for his exceptional hand sketches and strong conceptual thinking, he leads the creative direction of projects at Stud.IO. He holds master’s degrees in Architectural Design and in Architectural Theory and History from Istanbul Technical University.

Aybegüm Doğanay
Lighting Designer, Interior Designer
Aybegüm is a lighting designer with strong technical focus, and the studio’s lighting simulations specialist. She holds a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design from İstanbul Ticaret University and a degree in Visual Communication Design from Anadolu University.

Architect
Simla is an architect responsible for Studio’s concept presentations and visual communication. She supports projects through architectural thinking, narrative development, and the preparation of clear, expressive presentation visuals. She holds a degree in Architecture from Işık University.
